Doors at 3:00, films screen promptly at 4:00 p.m. Dress to impress! The Three-Minute Picture Show strives for a faux-Oscars vibe: dress code is red-carpet-meets-Halloween!

Violence at Columbia Villa, renamed New Columbia, has always had a chilling affect on the quality of life in North Portland since before is was the scene of Oregon's first drive by killing. The inaugural Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon will wind through a scenic 13.1 mile course from Stoller Vineyards in the Dundee Hills to the winery-laden town of Carlton. This is sure to become one of Oregon’s most popular road races and a signature event on Labor Day weekend, held annually when the weather and wine are just so fine!

This weekend Stumptown Disc Golf, Next Adventure and Family Works Ministries team up for the first annual Rose City Disc Golf Tournement at cool and shady Pier Park Disc Golf Course.  The weekend-long event will help raise money for improvements at the course, outreach and awareness about the sport, and for programs at Family Works Ministries. Come down and chuck a disc. It's a great low cost way to have fun and stay out of the sun.
