Former Mayor Tom Potter has upped the anti-Sam ante today. He's gone from merely supporting the Recall Sam Adams campaign to publicly trashing current Mayor Sam Adams on the Just Out blog.
As reported in the Oregonian, Potter sent a letter this morning to Portland's LGBTQ news magazine Just Out in which he said Adams had "demonstrated his serious lack of judgment, a complete lack of integrity, his serial lying to win an election, and his callous disregard for others" and characterized the recall effort as "about honest government, an honest City Council and an honest Portland."
Ouch.

Ex Mayor Potter
by Sentinel Reader | Wed, 08/12/2009 - 7:25amDoes anyone actually care what Ex Mayor Potter thinks?
Do you really listen to his opinons?
Remember the creepy Mr. Potter from "Its a Wonderful Life"?
He reminds me of the old goat. Looks like him too with that beard!
He is has a nasty, resentful, and greedy aura.
Makes my skin crawl everytime I see or hear him.
He was one of Portland's most unproductive Mayors.
He violated the rights of countless coummunities with is continual
need to change street names, without proper public debate, until
it was so heated, that he turned it into a racial issue.
Good Move Potter.
He and his dear friend Rosie, made countless changes, that made no sense.
Still don't. Like the closing of North Precinct. Bright Move Bozo~!
His friends in high places, got money, the rest of us could not afford to lose.
He was more concerned about blasting Sam Adams when he was a commissioner,
to make a point he was Gay, then actually supporting the ideas Sam was champion for.
and he is just maintaining the STATUS QUO, today, of calling for a re-election.
WHY SO HE CAN RE RUN...GOD FORBID!!
NO POTTER STINKS....for a reason. He is FOWL / FOUL. in so many ways!
The man and his wife are creepy at best. Trust me Sam is a Far Better Fit for PORTLAND
then a 1000 Tom Potters.
So, ask yourself ....Do you really care about the words of TOM POTTER?
