We're testing out a new news podcast, tentatively called the nPodcast...har, har. Its based on conversations between writers and editors of the Sentinel News Service and is a partial rip off of the Back Story podcast done by the New York Times. Our weekly pods will be about news coverage in the print edition of the Sentinel as well as a discussion of events and issues going on in North Portland that week.

This test installment is a discussion of the Portland Streetcar system's prossible extension into North Portland and activist Paul Maresh's alternative vision for a 'wired' electric bus system like the ones used in Seattle and San Fransisco.

The interview is with William Crawford who did an article for the Sentinel this month.

There will be a public meeting to discuss community interest in having the fixed rail streetcar that currently runs in downtown Portland, extend to the Peninsula at the St Johns Community Center, 8427 N Central, Wednesday, April 9th, 7pm-9pm.

RSS feed

Is there an rss feed for the nPortland podcast? Or if the main Sentinal feed is the only one, maybe the audio files can be added as an enclosure so we can subscribe in iTunes or the like. Thanks.

RSS Feeds: YES

www.portlandsentinel.com/podcasts

There is an RSS for our podcasts which come in at the rate of about 1 a week, at the moment, the nPodcast posts would be included in that feed. Just go to the url and click the RSS button in your browser window.
