St. Johns Lions Club - win cash and help fund Sight & Hearing services in our community.

The St. Johns Lions Club is currently selling raffle tickets to raise funds for community health.  Funds will be used to provide free health screenings in the St. Johns/Peninsula area, and to help low income community members purchase eye glasses or other assistance with their sight and hearing needs.

The club has already provided health screenings throughout the area, and currently has a waiting list of individuals who need assistance in purchasing eye glasses.  The raffle is a 50/50 raffle, meaning that 50% of the revenues raised will be the prize awarded (up to a maximum of $2,500).  Lions Club members provide any necessary administrative management of service activities as volunteers, meaning that 100% of charitable contributions go directly to providing services.

Lions Club raffle tickets cost $1 each or 6 for $5 and are for sale at a number of local businesses including Pattie's Home Plate Cafe, Body Bistro, Tulip Pastry Shop, Peninsula Station, Legong Gelato, James John Cafe, Slim's, Grammy & Nona's, Portland Rose, Champ's Barber Shop, John's Tavern and the Wishing Well.  Stop in at any of these business to buy tickets.

The raffle drawing will be help December 15th, 6:30pm, at Pattie's Home Plate Cafe, 8501 N Lombard St.  Join us to see who wins the cash prize and to learn more about Lions.
