Here’s your chance to find out the scoop on North Precinct closure.
Below is an email from the North Precicnt Commander, Donna Henderson.
As is everyone, the Portland Police Bureau is anticipating severe budget cuts
that require a new way of thinking to maintain our core mission (to provide
emergency services to the citizens of Portland) Our next Public Safety Action Committee meeting will be WED January 28 at 7 p.m., with the main topic being the merger of the 5 precincts
to 3 precincts. North Precinct will merge into NE and SE precinct will merge into East. Assistant Chief Martinek will be at the meeting to explain the proposal and to answer questions. I encourage everyone who is interested to attend.
